My Flickr feed hit 15,000 visits today – thanks, all!
This ATM rests (and that’s about all it does these days) unassumingly on Clark Street, between Kinzie and Illinois, if I recall. As I stopped to take the picture, a guy came up to me and asked if I was with the establishment immediately to the right of the retired money-dispenser. When I told him no, I was just taking a picture of the ATM because I thought it was ever-so-cool, he went on to explain that he owned the building and that he’d been trying to get them to get rid of the thing for ages, eyesore that it is.
I, for one, and glad that he’s been so far unsuccessful in this campaign. I wonder he’s considered calling the number listed on the sticker in the upper left, you know to report “Operational Problems or Suspicious Activity.” Or perhaps both.
