Lasalle St Bridge, Chicago. I’m certain I should be coming up with a witty caption for this, but no luck so far – if I think of one, I guess I’ll have to add it later…

This character was standing on the sidewalk making a lot of noise as people walked up to the train platform this morning. He was so completely unafraid that when I tried to push him out of traffic with my foot, he just chirped at me and tried to climb on my shoe. Shot at 85mm – EXIF data says the subject distance is 380mm (just shy of 15″). And that’s just because I didn’t want to kneel on the sidewalk in dress pants to get closer.  I hope he has a little more sense if a neighborhood cat comes wandering around.
